Review: L'Oreal Elvive Extraordinary Oil Curl Nourishment
It's 2017 and I am still a product junkie.
However, I am still a blogger (occasionally) so, I feel like I'm allowed - right?! I still love trying new products, the disappointment and every now and then, the delight of finding a new holy grail product.
Introducing the L'Oreal Elvive Extraordinary Oil Curl Nourishment range, formulated for "very dry, curly and afro hair" - erm hello L'Oreal 🙋🏾 it's ya girl. When I saw these on offer, I had to pick them up to try.
Firstly, the Shampoo. I feel like Shampoo is disappointing, leaving my hair dry as a crisp but hey at least it's clean. Not far from the norm, the L'Oreal Elvive Extraordinary Oil Curl Nourishment Shampoo provides a deep cleanse on first lather, however it doesn't dry my hair out as bad as others. That being said, the shampoo is £2 so it's pretty good for the price; I just hate shampoo. It's nothing personal.
As I hate Shampoo and like all girls with natural hair, I live for Conditioner and co-washing. So, when I saw L'Oreal created the cleansing Conditioner I knew I had to give it a try. The L'Oreal Elvive Extraordinary Oil Curl Nourishment Cleansing Conditioner is described as having "an ultra-gentle wash with a non-foaming formula" I was sold, being the consumer I am. The formula of the Cleansing Conditioner is very light and cleaning, but I do wish it was a little more conditioning! However, I would reach for it if I was washing in a rush. As the most expensive product in the range, I wouldn't say run and buy but it's pretty good for a gym bag shampoo come conditioner.
The stand out product for me is the L'Oreal Elvive Extraordinary Oil Curl Nourishment Conditioner. It literally does as it says on the bottle, "nourishment, defines curls and shine" and has very quickly become my favourite conditioner. Similar to the rest of the Extraordinary Oil Curl Nourishment range, the scent of the conditioner is fresh and luxe (not floral, not my thing) but the super buttery texture makes detangling easy and my curls instantly pop. I would recommend this conditioner to both natural and treated hair, it's super hydrating - and we could all do with a little more moisture!
Shop the range here, I'm sure you'll love it. Let me know if you'd like a video of how I use the range!
note: I paid for these products, no #ad. however, I only give my honest opinion, even when #ad! <3
