werkin' on ma *sneeze*
A few weeks ago, I was invited to an outdoor workout event. Now, I'm a long time hayfever sufferer; so when someone says outdoors to me - I panic. However, I did think "Come on, it's London - it'll chuck it down" - I was wrong. It was such a gorgeous day, the sun was beating down on us... along with the pollen. I drugged myself up: eyedrops, nasal spray and tablets. The wholeeeee shebang.
I took the DLR over to Pontoon Dock, I passed the Lyle's Golden Syrup factory - yes, it smelt incredible. I hadn't researched Royal Wharf, so was pleasantly surprised when I arrived!
Our workout was lead by Scott Ashley, celeb trainer. We had a brief discussion before the workout, Scott explained his approach with health, fitness and weightloss; he believes in a holistic ideas and food first - which I really liked.
A yoga warm up then into a quick but effective Tabata work out; I'm sure you all know about Tabata - killer but bloody works! But Scott introduced me to some new moves, his "HOLIXER" workout included some army like crawling moves! I love doing body weight workouts, and constantly underestimate how hard they actually are!
After the workout, we nibbled on some Supernatural goodies and more nattering!
