Review: Project Fit
Well, it took about 3 days of running and stretching like crazy to shake off the DOMS I got from attending Project Fit @ Cornhill, Bank. Project Fit, opened in early March of this year, the men/slave drivers behind the brand are PT Joel Hilton and co-founder Ben Staines.
First impressions were OK - as I found myself descending down a long stair case, dreading the ascend I would embark on post-workout...
The reception area is light and airy, the strong aroma of freshly ground coffee beans enticed me, along with the wide range of protein shakes they have on offer.
The changing facilities are also light and airy, there are lockers provided and no change (yes!) and there are a range of products provided - so don't worry about bringing your shampoo.
A friend of mine came along, who proved to be extremely strong, and very motivational workout buddy - we approached the studio together.
The class consists of sections of around 10 minutes at each station, treadmills and floor drills. I personally love this class structure, and it is extreme effective for fat burning. As we dawdled into the studio, all of the treadmills were taken for the first round - we were starting on the floor.
There was no easy warm up to this workout (I would recommend stretching BEFORE entering the studio) Joey was soon shouting at us to squat, calf raise, burpee, press ups and so on. I love to do hill drills on the treadmills, so I was more than pleased when I heard that this is what we would do - I liked how Joey provided 3 numbers you could chose which felt best to turn your treadmill to. There was no racing - only against yourself!
Project Fit provides a FULL BODY workout, if you want to see the results quickly, go for a bundle and try to go around 4-5 times a week (when combined with a healthy diet!). So go ahead, give Project Fit a go - some say it's the "new Barry's" but I think they're both individual!
