Maybelline Fit Me Foundation Stick

If you've watched my NYC HAUL, you'd of seen I picked up a fair few beauty products during my time over in America. I was so excited when I saw the range of shades Maybelline New York offered, I just wish they would start to sell them over here in the UK! I picked up the Maybelline Fit Me Foundation Stick, and wanted to write a quick review of the product.

I have never given drugstore makeup much time. Purely because they don't cater for my skin-tone. But I spent so much time in stores such as CVS while I was in America! Although a lot of the brand catered for dark skin, due to my heritage my skin-tone is a little red/yellow/tan. So, it's a lot more difficult than expected for me to colour match. However, as soon as I "swatched" the sample of the Maybelline Fit Me Foundation Stick in the shade 355 - Coconut, I knew I had to purchase!

My thoughts

The texture of the Maybelline Fit Me Foundation Stick is creamy but heavy duty. I like to blend it with my Real Techniques Expect Face Brush and my Tarte Buffer Airbrush Finish Foundation Brush, both highly dense brushes to create a flawless, airbrushed like finish.

I don't want to sound snobby in the slightest, but for $5 I am astonished by the quality of the product. It provides a flawless finish to my skin all day. However, I do have an oily t-zone; which will continue to be a problem regardless to me spending $5 or $75 on foundation. I just have to remember to set my face with a powder, use a setting spray and carry blotting paper! hey a girls got to do what a girl's got to do! But the Maybelline Fit Me Foundation Stick is a product which can be used by all - younger girls looking to start dabbling in the world of makeup, and those of us who love makeup for a everyday alternative to high end products.

Overall

So you've probably gathered that I would recommend the Maybelline Fit Me Foundation Stick. Not only would it provide a great foundation, but if you're someone who loves to contour I would recommend the Maybelline Fit Me Foundation Sticks  to created "shadow" for your contour. Due to how easy it is to blend in; which I've personally found to be the main downfall of high end contour kits. Remember, when contouring blending is everythingThe Maybelline Fit Me Foundation blends easily with both brushes and with beauty sponges - such as the Beauty Blender.

If you'd like to see more on the Maybelline Fit Me Foundation Stick, I will be posting a more hands on style review of over on my YouTube channel; so make sure you're subscribed so you don't miss out!
