Christmas by George at ASDA
Ok, so I think I can write a piece with a Christmas theme now! Let's finally talk about the George at ASDA Christmas Press Day! I've been dying to post this, I've been looking over the pictures for weeks, but I just didn't think it was appropriate to post Christmas related posts prior to Fashion Weeks! A few weeks ago, I was invited down to Somerset House for the George at ASDA Christmas Press Day. I absolutely love Somerset House. It's one of those places which make all bloggers stomachs do back flips! I've loved fashion and followed fashion week all my life - Somerset House hold a place in my heart!
At the press day, we were able to preview George at ASDA's A/W and Christmas collection, and some of their home pieces! I loved how band on trend the collections was. Suede, nude tones, dark purples, sequins and and underlying influence from the 70's!
I loved going through the pieces George at ASDA has created this season. I could see myself at the Christmas Party, at the Christmas Day dinner table and lounging around the house post dinner-food coma in their collection!
A highlight for me, was the fact the collection catered for all shapes and sizes. Personally, I'm top heavy; therefore, I don't want tops with plunging necklines down to my stomach. Which seems to be a trend for going out dresses. But, George at ASDA had a few dresses with varying necklines! I loved their heavy embellished dress; it reminded me of something which I'd normally love and realise was far to expensive. George at ASDA has successfully created a gorgeous dress, with the same quality of embellishment, at a price we can all celebrate (and then some!)
Lingerie. Who knew how beautiful George at ASDA's lingerie was, and did not tell me? I was literally blown away by their collection of lingerie at the Christmas Press day. Of course, bang on trend - silk, lace and tons of delicacy. It was just stunning. And affordable - which often lingerie of this quality is not!
As you may already know, interior furnishing and decor is my thing. I spend hours scribbling and pinning interiors! So, I was delighted to see George at ASDA showcasing their homewear for the season. I love Christmas, and traditional looking decorations - it's the best way to avoid looking tacky! George at ASDA has a range of traditional looking Christmas decorations for your home, from marching nutcracker soldiers to "Noel" signs! My wishlist was rapidly expanding!
I picked out a few of my favourite pieces for George at ASDA, and had a little natter about them! You can see which pieces I picked in the video below.
